The EU is threatening to water down its guidelines on Israeli eligibility
for EU funding to the point where they would become meaningless despite
calls from leading academics to maintain its stance.
Following the earlier call, prominent professors, including five Fellows
of the Royal Society as well as a member of the French Académie
des Sciences, have written to Catherine Ashton, the EU’s head of Foreign
Policy, expressing their dismay at these reports.
