The American software freedom activist Richard Stallman has cancelled
a lecture that he was scheduled to give at Tel Aviv University due to
pressure from the Palestinian Authority. The funding for his trip came
from the Palestinians who invited him to lecture for them, Stallman
wrote in a letter explaining the cancellation. He said that they were
not pleased that he had been scheduled to lecture at Israeli universities
as well, and so withheld funding for his trip.
