On April 11th, 2019, the co-founder of the Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign for Palestinian rights, Omar Barghouti, was prevented from boarding a plane to fly from Tel Aviv to the United States for a lecture tour, and to attend his daughter’s wedding. The US government had cancelled his visa and denied him entry.

The BDS campaign world-wide is united in its condemnation of this act of repression of free speech, and has issued this joint statement.
